Dr. Michelle Duke
Dr. Michelle Duke grew up in Okotoks and is so excited to be back in her home town to provide incredible eyecare to this wonderful community. She attended the University of Calgary as a bachelor of science student before graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2010. Since then, she has enjoyed working at different clinics within southern Alberta. She is currently the President of the College of Optometrists of Alberta and strongly believes in the importance of professional and community involvement. She is raising two young boys with her husband, Bill. When she is not working you can find her at the hockey rink or on the golf course.
Bill Duke
Bill was born and raised on the Canadian prairies and is proud to be an owner of Duke Eye Care. Bill spent his childhood on a southeastern Saskatchewan grain farm before he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from what was then known as Ryerson University. He then spent a brief period on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, was a reporter and editor for the Strathmore Standard, and was a media relations specialist for the Calgary Stampede before attending law school at the University of Calgary. He is a lawyer, mediator, coach, and eye health advocate.
Justine Phalen
Justine is our incredible Office Manager. Born and raised in Alberta, she got her start in the optical industry as a teenager. She loves getting to know our patients to fully understand their vision needs.
When Dr. Duke needs new glasses, Justine selects the perfect frames for her and her choices always lead to compliments!
